Community of practice

Last updated: 31 July 2025

Purpose

To build a peer-led community that advances equity in digital health by sharing practice, experience, tools and insight grounded in the Charter's mission.

How we work together

This community is guided by the Charter's 10 principles. In practice, that means:

  • Taking individual responsibility

  • Creating psychological safety

  • Having honest, respectful conversations

  • Staying solution-focused and supportive

How we meet

We meet quarterly online. Each session is 90 minutes and follows a simple format:

  • A member or guest shares a case study or tool linked to one of the Charter's principles

  • Small groups discuss application, challenges and next steps

  • The group closes with key takeaways and a theme for the next session

We also meet in person once a year, ideally at a relevant sector event.

Who's in the community

We're a growing community of practitioners from across digital health roles in technology, policy, clinical, procurement and social impact.

Membership is free. We ask that every member contributes actively, whether that's presenting, leading a discussion or sharing resources.

The community is currently by invitation and will open to all Charter signatories and supporters.

Between sessions

We have a dedicated online channel for announcements, events, general discussion and resource sharing. You’ll get access when you become a member.

Who leads the community

The chair role is shared between Gurnak Dosanjh and Emily Burch for the first 12 months and is reviewed annually.
